Ruben Versus Servage FTP

I'm uploading a new plugin for WordPress. Its 823.5kb in size. Let's track its progress:

  • 17:07 – 493.1kb – past halfway now finally
  • … etcetera …
  • 16:43 – 82.7kb
  • 16:42 – 71.2kb
  • 16:41 – 60.1kb
  • 16:40 – 51.0kb
  • 16:39 – 40.2kb

So we're averaging just above 10 kilobyes a minute. Servage FTP is one hell of a speed demon.

Author bio and support

Ruben Schade is a technical writer and IaaS engineer in Sydney, Australia who refers to himself in the third person in bios. Wait, not BIOS… my brain should be EFI by now.

The site is powered by Hugo, FreeBSD, and OpenZFS on OrionVM, everyone’s favourite cloud infrastructure provider.
