Happy 10.10.10 Binary Day!
Thoughts![]()
I actually remember 01:01 01.01.01 as well, because it was the start of the new millennium and all that. My sister and I were watching Friends on my blueberry iMac DV. Isn't it funny the way you remember little things like that?

20 years of German reunification!
Thoughts
Huge hug to all my German friends and relatives :). Suck on it, Margaret Thatcher!.
At the same time I'm preoccupied and sad at the thought of Korea still divided when I see how Germany and her people are now. Why didn't the Cold War powers fight themselves instead of doing it in innocent proxy states? Or even better… act more like adults? Ah politics.
Credit to Thomas Wolf on Wikipedia for that amazing photo of the Brandenburg Gate. I've been to Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart but still not Berlin.
Happy belated International Blasphemy Day!
Thoughts
I forgot that the 30th of September was International Blasphemy Day! To repent for forgetting, I'll merely make the observation that if we've discovered a new habitable planet, will their inhabitants have to be "saved" by our religions too? I mean, they've been living in sin this entire time and they didn't even know it!
Space fairing missionaries… now there's a terrifying thought >___<. Damn you Lord Xenu!
Three most terrifying words to a Mac user
Software
Unfortunately despite my best efforts at staying at version 9, I had to update iTunes to 10.0.1 this afternoon so I could install the latest iTelephone update. Looking at the interface and how it's still the the most sluggish Apple application on my Mac, I'll still be using Exaile for actually playing music ;).
Cocoa iTunes! Come on, help a brother out!
TechCrunch gets eaten by The AOL
Internet
To be honest I never really read it beyond the simplest of cursory glances, and I suppose that won't change. I remember wanting a CrunchPad though back when Arrington claimed it'd be an easy thing to do.
People are claiming on The Twitters that it's the merging of one mediocre company into another. They're probably right, when Engadget was offered a stolen pre-release iPhone 4 they refused to take it. Ethics are dull.
Disclosure: This post was pre-written on Wednesday 29th September but published today owing to a migraine. This however has nothing to do with TechCrunch.
