I’m an Aussie by birth and given both of our countries were once British we still have those Union Jack thingys on our flags.
Apparently the redesigned New Zealand flag though still retains the Union Jack, but includes something 100% Pure New Zealand!:

Lol.. Are you kidding?? NZ & Oz became British colonies.. The flags are representative of those former British colonies.. With your design you’ve just swapped one colonial flag for another..
Australia and New Zealand weren’t always colonies of Great Britain and more to the point they are no longer colonies.. We stand on our own two feet now!
and personally I think coat of arms on flags are soooo 18th century.. But A+ effort on creating it!!

I appreciate your comment, but you entirely missed the point of my post. I was making a joke! A sheep on the national flag of New Zealand? You couldn’t see the humour in that?
I am probably the last person you need to convince about changing our flags, I think Australia and New Zealand should have done what Canada had the guts to do over 30 years ago already. We desperately need to get rid of the British Monarchy too, but that’s for another post.
Just a quick tip though, don’t type "lol" at the beginning of your posts if you want to be taken seriously yeah? ;)
